Shaunavon's new Splash Park opened to the public this past weekend.

After a couple set backs the Splash Park water was turned on and the fencing came down Saturday morning at ten.

Kyle Bennett is the Chairman of the Perk Up Our Parks Committee. He said, "We do have some bugs to work out. We've got some finishing touches to add and finish up, but we wanted to get things running just to make sure everything's running properly. Overall, it's functioning as it should."

Bennett says he's happy that the committee decided to go with a re-circulating system for the water, which keep recycling the water and re-pumping it through.

The Splash Park is open to the pubic, free of charge, every day from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

If the water is not on when your arrive, the water is touch activated..just touch one of the pedestals and it will start.

Bennett adds that a tentative Grand Opening date has been set for July 1.
