It doesn't seem like a bandit was on hand, but yesterday afternoon at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park it sure became smoky.

Darby-Jayne Fletcher contacted the newsroom, and said a fire started around 5:30 p.m. along the river in the trees between the fish cleaning shack at Bearpaw Campground towards Sagebrush Campground.

Conservation officers from the park, first responders from the RM of Sask Landing, and the Kyle Fire Department attended.

The Kyle Fire Department got the call out at 6:51 p.m. and were there until after 10 p.m.
