Fifteen year old Abby Goddard from Swift Current has been riding her horses and competing for about five years, and has recently been the recipient of a number of provincial awards.

Her district achievements in the 2018 Heritage Circuit were recognized recently with a certificate and  an award.

She has overcome a number of obstacles with injuries to her horses over the past couple of years, but Abbey's Dad, Brett, says she's set her sights even higher. "Her biggest accomplishment this year tho would have been, she was being pushed by a lot of judges and different people to go talk to a couple different trainers. She ended up meeting up with a guy in Saskatoon and he encouraged her to go to Canadian Nationals. She only had two weeks to train for that, and she ended up winning the Canadian All Around Junior Champion, thirteen and under."

He adds that the community support for his daughter has been amazing.

Abby's goal is to compete in the World Championships in the United States.
