The communities of Eastend and Shaunavon have joined forces to hold the Investors Group Little Britches Rodeo this weekend.

The Rodeo goes out at the Ron Winquist Arena, west of Shaunavon, both Saturday  August 19th and Sunday August 20th each day starting at eleven a.m.

On Saturday it's the Shaunavon portion of the Rodeo, with Eastend's portion happening on Sunday.

Marla Smith is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Rodeo. She says there are plenty of events happening both days for kids ages sixteen years and younger.

"For the Pee Wee's there's barrel racing,pole bending, and goats tail untying. And the Junior's will have the steer riding, break away roping, steer undecorating, and then there's junior team roping, junior barrels, junior poles, and junior goat untying. And as for the Seniors, there's bull riding, senior break away, senior steer undecorating, senior team roping and senior barrels, poles, goat tying."

Smith adds that on Saturday night there will be an Open Jackpot for kids and parents that are interested.

The public welcome and there will be a concession on site both days.
