The SHA are reporting 11 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of the 11 new cases, there are 2 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 1 in the Central East zone, 5 in the Regina zone, and 2 in the South Central zone. 

Both of the new cases reported today in Saskatoon are linked to the outbreak at Brandt Industries. Initial public health investigations suggest this outbreak is linked to out-of-province travel.

That brings the provincial total of cases to 1,787, of which 121 are considered active.

Investigations completed thus far have found that 25 of the 121 current active cases are from communal living settings.

In the South West zone there are 4 active cases of COVID-19.

There have been 3 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,642.

A total of 10 people are in hospital. Nine people are receiving inpatient care; seven of those are in Saskatoon, one is in Regina and one is in the South Central zone. One person is in intensive care in Saskatoon.

There have been 24 deaths related to COVID-19 in the province reported so far.

To date, 169,519 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,873 tests performed.
