A traffic detour is happening in the community of Gull Lake today and tomorrow.

CP Rail will be doing some railway crossing rehab on Rutland Avenue where motorists turn to come into Gull Lake from the Number One Highway.

As a result, the crossing will be closed to traffic from five a.m. this morning until ten p.m. Sunday night.

Gull Lake Mayor, Blake Campbell, is happy to see the repair happening. "We'll all be happy when we have that fixed. It's really rough going over that so we're very pleased with that obviously going forward. It's a little overdue."

Traffic will be detoured to the crossing on the west side of town. Heavy traffic should use the Green Terminal Road.
