Two-vehicle collision delays afternoon traffic in Swift Current

A two-vehicle collision in north Swift Current has delayed traffic.

The crash at the intersection of Grey St. E and Central Ave. N has decreased northbound traffic to a single lane.

Earlier this afternoon, a silver Cheverolet SUV and white Ford hatchback sedan collided, blocking the west lane of Central Ave N.

As rain blanketed Swift Current and thunderstorms loomed in the distance, emergency responders attended to the scene and re-routed traffic to the single lane while they assessed vehicular damage and motorist injuries.

No update is available into the severity of injuries to the motorists involved, if any. Similarly, no update into the cause of the collision have been made as the RCMP continues to investigate.
