The Fifth Annual Walk With the Cross is happening this afternoon in Shaunavon.

The Rolling Hills Ministerial Association puts on the Walk  every Easter weekend and, on average, about 60 people take part, either by walking the route or following in their vehicles.

Angela Boorah from the Ministerial Association explains what the Walk With the Cross is about. "The Walk With the Cross is a reminder of Jesus' walk in Jerusalem on the Friday before he was crucified."

The Walk starts today at noon from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Shaunavon, and will finish at The Bridge Church on third avenue west.

There will be a message and a small lunch to follow.

The Walk will begin at Christ the King Church on 5th street east and then proceed down 6th avenue east, stopping at Centre Street United Church, then continuing across to Salem Lutheran Church, From there the procession will continue down Center Street turning onto third avenue west and finishing at The Bridge Alliance Church.
