Good news for Swift Current residents in the Highland and Trail subdivisions (zones 1 and 2) as the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory has been lifted, effectively immediately.

The Advisory came into effect on Wednesday, and fortunately was not set back by two watermain breaks the next day on Walsh Trail.

Residents in the northwest corner of the city can resume drinking water from city lines.

With 30 degree days in the forecast experienced in Swift Current this weekend, the ban is certainly lifted at a good time, and the city says they're thankful for the public's patience during the advisory process.
