Bad weather over the weekend didn't stop residents of southwest Saskatchewan from checking out a small business and craft show.

The 4th-annual Beechy Fall into Winter Small Business and Craft Show featured vendors from all over the southwest and west-central part of the province.

Audrey Betemps, and her daughter Roxanne, organizer the event, and Betemps said that overall it was an awesome event.

"We had a really good turnout; we had lots of vendors, we had a hot lunch by Royal Purple, it was well supported," she said. "It's got a wide variety of vendors and products and lots of homemade crafts, and just wonderful ideas for Christmas or just to treat yourself with something special, there is always something for everyone."

Betemps said that she was surprised by the turnout of over 200 people, as the roads and weather were not ideal for travelling.

"The roads and weather didn't cooperate very well and we were very surprised that we had such a good turnout," she said. "The vendors were all quite pleased."

She added that they started organizing the event after the Town of Beechy stopped hosting a trade show.
