This past Friday, Lucky Charlie's Irish Pub & Pool in Swift Current was packed with country music fans and community members for a night of live music featuring live music from local musicians.

18-year-old Evan Baxter is an up-and-coming country musician from Beechy who headlined for the second time for singer, Adam Johnson, on Friday evening.

Before Johnson took the stage, Baxter performed a series of songs from around 9 - 10 p.m., including popular country music and some original works of his own.

"I got the big privilege to open up for him in Saskatoon, and I got the chance to play with him again tonight but for a forty-minute set instead of a twenty-minute set," said Baxter. "Just a killer show, having a great time."

Baxter's family and friends came out to support him and even helped sell merchandise.

He's next scheduled to perform when he opens for Kieran Gardner and the Barrelmen at the Capitol Music Club in Saskatoon on May 30 and tickets are available on the Capitol Music Club's website.

"We post a lot of stuff on the Evan Baxter Music, we have Instagram, TikTok, and a Facebook account," Baxter added.

Additionally, Baxter is set to headline on June 7 at the Capitol Music Club and January 11 at the Coors Event Centre in Saskatoon.
