After an extensive search the Swift Current Broncos are ready to name a new head coach.

The local WHL franchise has called a media conference for Thursday morning to announce the hiring of their new bench boss as well as changes to the organizational structure amongst management.

Swift Current has been looking for a new coach since Mark Lamb announced he was leaving to become head coach of the AHL's Tuscon Roadrunners.

Lamb held both the coach and general manager duties with the Broncos.

Swift Current is a member owned franchise and the board of directors is responsible for this hire.

The current structure of the front office includes two assistant general managers who both reported to Lamb.

Jamie Porter is an assistant GM an director of player personnel in charge of the scouting department, while Dianne Sletten is the assistant GM and director of business operations.

Swift Current also has associate coach Ryan Smith and assistant coach Jamie Heward under contract.

Lamb spent seven seasons with the Broncos and took them to the post-season four times.
