One of Swift Current's tow-truck companies received provincial recognition at the beginning of November.

For the second straight year, Low Cost Towing was one of eight recipients of the CAA Saskatchewan Roadside Assistance Award and Excellence.

Owner and Operator of Low Cost Towing George Remple share his thoughts about receiving the Award.

"It's a pretty good feeling (to win the award) to be appreciated for the hard work and the late hours we put in," he said Friday.

Remple went on to thank the community.

"We're just happy to be here and serving the southwest here. The business has been supported greatly by the community and companies around (Swift Current and the surrounding area) and this is a big thank you to them," Remple said.

The award recognizes contractors that provide consistent, professional and reliable emergency roadside assistance to CAA Members in their region, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The yearly award is given to eight or nine of the approximately 200 CAA contractors in the province of Saskatchewan.
