Moose Jaw RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of human remains.

Located in a rural location in the RM of Moose Jaw, RCMP is working alongside a forensic anthropologist and pathologist to identify the remains. So far, no identity has been confirmed.

Currently, they believe the remains to have been at the location for a decade or more.

RCMP do not believe the death itself to be suspicious in nature. They are actively considering historical missing persons, and have confirmed they will release that information when it is available.

The Saskatchewan RCMP's Historical Case Unit will be working alongside Moose Jaw RCMP as they continue to search the rural northeast of the RM of Moose Jaw for further evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to please contact Moose Jaw RCMP by calling 310-RCMP, or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
