The Swift Current Lens Plumbing and Heating Bantam Steelers have clinched first place in the Moose Jaw Minor Football League (MJMFL), with a 5-1-0 season.

The Steelers are the defending champions of the MJMFL and are strong contenders to make it to the final again this year.

The team is led by 3rd year Head Coach Tom Westbury

The Bantam Steelers will face off in the semi-final game against the Estevan Oilers, who are a much-improved team over last season. The Steelers first met the Oilers in Estevan in their first regular season game and the Steelers came away with a defensive 9-0 win.

The only loss of the regular season was the second game of a home and home series against the Moose Jaw Razorbacks, on a cold and wet afternoon Thanksgiving weekend, where the Razorbacks walked away with a 6-0 win over the Steelers.

The semi-final will be played following the SCCHS Colts playoff game against Estevan at 1:00 PM on Saturday.

The Bantam Steelers kick off immediately following the Colts at 3:30 PM.
