The Pure Chem U15 AA Broncos had their season come to an end with a 4-3 loss to the Regina Pat Blues in the third and decisive game of the South Final on Sunday in the Queen City.

Kasey Gleim and Ryder Leshures helped the Broncos jump out to a 2-0 lead by the 14:00 mark of the first period before Chase Surkan cut Regina's deficit to 2-1 with 1:41 left in the opening frame. The Pat Blues continued a run of four unanswered goals in the third period with a second from Surkan and two more goals from Maddox Schultz to go up 4-2 with 2:05 left in regulation. Gleim added his second of the game for Swift Current to make it 4-3 with 1:40 left, but the comeback attempt would fall short as the Pat Blue advance to the league final to face Martensville.

Meanwhile, Cash Benallack scored in double overtime to give the SWT U13 Broncos a 6-5 win over the Yorkton Terriers in the opening game of the best-of-three south final on Saturday at S3 Arenas. Damon James had four goals in regulation and Kyan Vansandt also scored for the Broncos, who play game two of the series in Theodore on Friday. Game three, if necessary, is on Sunday in Swift Current.
