Another decrease in the number of active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan was experienced on Friday.

The Sask Health Authority announced eight new confirmed cases and 10 new recoveries in the latest daily update.

The new cases are all in the far north region – three in Beauval and five in La Loche.

The active case total now stands at 176 after the decrease in two today. There have been 590 overall reported cases and now 408 recoveries.

As well, nine people are in hospital. Three are in the ICU in Saskatoon, while the other six are receiving inpatient care across the north, Regina, and Saskatoon regions.

505 new tests for COVID-19 were performed in today’s update, spelling 39,233 tests overall province-wide.
