The community of Leader had a good turn out for their RCMP Public Town Hall meeting on Tuesday evening.

Representatives from MNP and the RCMP were on hand to talk about changes being considered to seek efficiencies  and to better resource deployment in the southwest.

Leader Town Administrator, Erin Romanuik spoke on how the evening went. "We had good attendance. A lot of good questions were asked. It's not that we got a lot of answers. They said right away that they're not closing the detachment, which I think right away put people at ease. But still knowing that there could be some big change coming."

There were between 450 and 500 people, from Leader and the surrounding area, at the meeting.
