Sask Abilities is prepared to launch the return of the 33rd annual Ability Bowl this Saturday.

This year's Ability Bowl will be returning to an in-person event after virtual variations of the event took place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Candace Toma, Community Relations Coordinator, said that this year’s theme was chosen to honour the agriculture community in Swift Current.

“We are seeing lots of support from you know, producers across the region and we want to give back and pay tribute to them because they do so much for us and so much for our southwest community,” she said.

The first bowling shift will begin at the Social Bowl at 8:30 a.m. with other shifts staggered throughout the day.

Toma added that Sask Abilities has also teamed up with The Centre this year to form a brand-new partnership.

“So, what we're doing is you're bowling at the Social Bowl, which is awesome,” she explained. “And then right after that, you're going to go to social hour at The Center. You're bowling teams will go there, get your prizes, have some refreshments, have some fun, do some socializing, but you're going to do it in a little bit of a smaller group, and we're so grateful for partnerships with the Social Bowl and with the Center for this event this year.”

Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers and for the best theme costumes.
