The Pure Chem Bantam AA Broncos held off the previously-undefeated Weyburn Wings last night at Fairview West, handing the first-place club their first loss of the season.

Swift Current topped Weyburn 5-4, and led 3-0 nearly halfway through the game. However, a pair of Wings goals made it 3-2 Broncos after 40.

Weyburn then tied things up into the first few minutes of the third, with the Bantam Broncos responding twice in a row to make it a multi-goal lead once more.

Weyburn added one with just under seven minutes to play, but no more offence was to be found by either team.

Swift Current resumes league play Friday night on the road against the Prairie Storm Extreme (4-1-0-0), then back at Fairview West Saturday against the Saskatoon Generals (5-0-0-1).
