Our news team has the exclusive on an apparent break-in that occurred at the Imperial 400. This morning, workers on the picket line at Swift Current's Imperial 400 noticed the shipping/receiving door was pried open. RCMP were called-in to investigate, as well as Sask Energy after a report of the smell of natural gas. Corporal David Carriage says upon investigation, there was minimal damage inside, adding Sask Energy quickly fixed the gas problem. Locked-out worker, Mike Nielson, says he hopes this break-in doesn't affect their back-to-work time line. Nielson says they're getting close to reaching a settlement for the 83-week lock-out. RCMP are continuing their investigation on the break-in and are in contact with the building manager and owner of the motel. |
