The Swift Current Broncos 2021-2022 season is set.

After previously announcing all 34 home games for the season back at the end of June, the WHL and the team finalized the rest by announcing the remaining dates yesterday.

In total the season will span 184 days, beginning on October 1, 2021, when the Broncos host the Medicine Hat Tigers and ending on April 3, 2022, where they'll close off the campaign in Calgary.

Perhaps the biggest change to the usual WHL schedule is in dealing with the still active precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic. With no inter-conference play, the Broncos are returning to the Central division, and exclusively matching up with teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg.

Of those teams, the vast majority will meet up 6 times; 3 home and 3 away. While the Hitmen, Hurricanes and Tigers will get 8 match-ups. Saskatoon and Prince Albert Meanwhile will both be rare opponents, meeting only 4 times in the season; twice at home.

Some upcoming special dates to look forward to include October 8, 2021, when the Edmonton Oil Kings will make the first of three visits to the iPlex with three first-round NHL picks in tow; Jake Neighbours, Sebastian Cossa and Dylan Guenther.

The Four Broncos Memorial Game will take place on December 30 against the Winnipeg Ice.

Swift Current will also be hosting its first New Year's Eve home game in 11 years.

And November looks to be a busy month for the iPlex, as the Broncos will see their season-high six-game homestand from November 5 - 20 with games on Friday and Saturday three weeks in a row.

Early bird pricing for season tickets runs through August 4.
