The Swift Current Chamber of Commerce is no longer facing legal action after former CEO Clayton Wicks withdrew his claim.

Chamber Chair Doug Evjen says that he expects everything to be resolved after the two sides met last week during case management.

"Case management went okay, we met with the judge, and Mr. Wicks withdrew his claim against the Chamber at that time," he said. "As far as we are concerned it's over with; it's been dismissed. There was no cost awarded so that should be the end of it."

The legal action stemmed from what the Chamber called an overpayment to Wicks while he was CEO in 2017. The funds were recovered by the Chamber when Wicks paid back, but Wicks wanted them back.
