It is a sign of spring and a sign that things are returning to normal in Swift Current. 

The City’s Community Services division is putting on their 27th annual Spring & Summer City-Wide Registration event this evening, and after being virtual last year, it will return as an in-person event at the Stockade Building at Kinetic Exhibition Park from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. 

“It's nice to be able to get out back into the community and see everyone and be able to have all these groups come together again to show that we are coming out of this, and we're providing a lot of groups, clubs and programs for families in Swift Current,” said Krista Caswell, Recreation Co-Ordinator for the City of Swift Current, who added the event will feature a wide variety of sport, culture and recreation groups in our community, and families can stop by, meet them and sign up for their spring and summer programs. 

“Some of them include cheerleading, soapbox racing, softball, we have a couple of camps coming, West Bank Bible Camp and Cypress Hills Camp, Elmwood Junior Golf will be there, there will be groups from taekwondo, roller derby, soccer, the Newcomer Welcome Centre will be there, and also the Cricket Club of Swift Current.”
