It is with Heavy hearts that we announce the passing of d’Arcy Alexander Morrice on June 7th 2024. d’Arcy also carried the nickname “Sandy” with many family members and friends.

Born on April 7th 1958, d’Arcy was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend whose warmth and kindness touched many lives.

Predeceased by his parents d’Arcy and Velma. d’Arcy is survived by his brother Greg, as well as his brother Brent (Terri). He will be missed by his nephews, Trevor and Brendon, who cherished their uncle’s humour. d’Arcy also leaves behind many cousins spread across Western Canada, each holding fond memories of past family gatherings and shared moments.

A man of great generosity marked by his unwavering commitment to his loved ones, he kept close ties to family and cared deeply for his Uncle Sandy throughout his late years and helped uncle through his illness.

d’Arcy was a man of many hats and not afraid to make moves in business and in the community. He loved refereeing minor hockey for many years, and you would also find him traveling to small towns around Swift Current to ref senior hockey. Like his father he was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge of Swift Current.

A celebration of d’Arcy will be held on Saturday June 15th at 10:00am from St. Stephen’s Anglican Church with Reverend Leonard Botchway officiating.

Rest in Peace, d’Arcy. Your spirit will forever remain in our hearts
