A pair of losses to a pair of Ontario teams meant a fourth-place finish for Swift Current’s Tanner Fritzke and Team Sask Baseball.

Competing in a semi final yesterday afternoon at Baseball Canada’s 21U Men’s Championship, Saskatchewan fell to Ontario’s top team 5-2.

Dropping to the bronze medal game, Saskatchewan squared off with Ontario’s second-seeded team and lost 3-2 in extra innings.

After pitching four innings in the playoff qualifier Saturday afternoon against New Brunswick, Swift Current's Fritzke didn’t appear in the final two games for Saskatchewan.

He finishes up the tournament with a combine five innings pitched, giving up two runs on four hits for a 2.80 ERA.

In the gold medal game, Quebec beat Ontario 1 5-3.
