The Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Center in Shaunavon is celebrating Garden Days and Recreation and Parks Month with a special evening tonight.

They will be holding a Garden Party at the Center tonight. Doors will open at six thirty.

Joanne Gregoire is the Director of Economic Development and Culture for the Town of Shaunavon. She says, "We're gonna have lots of activities happening through the night, but the highlight will be a Gardening Workshop that'll start at seven o'clock with tips and demonstrations on pruning, and mulching, and tree planting, and all sorts of garden things. And that will be presented by Andrew Exelby from Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association."

The evening will also include a temporary historic gardening display and members of the Shaunavon Community in Bloom will be in attendance to share updates on their summer projects.

Admission is free of charge. There will also be refreshments and a door prize draw.
