After four days of great crowds and great music, the Long Day's Night Music Festival wrapped up.

The event which ran from Thursday to Sunday featured the Dead South, the Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer, the Moon Runners, Five Alarm Funk, the Steadies, and was wrapped up by Terra Lightfoot.

Sheri Florizone, the cultural festival's director, said that over the four days over 1,800 people attended.

"The Dead South was sold on Thursday night and we had very good sales for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday," she said. "It's an incredible festival and it's a great time. How often do you get to hang out in a tent with friends and enjoy music and some beverages."

Florizone said that they seem to be attracting more and more bands every year, which speaks to the growing popularity of the event.

"Over the number of years that the Long Day's Night has been going, certainly we have built a reputation for being a really great venue. There is a great crowd here," she said. "It's a unique opportunity for fans and so when you got something as great as we have here the word gets out. We have a good thing going on here. It's a very fantastic thing and Swift Current is an incredible community.”

Florizone added that they'd had another fantastic year and next year is going to be even better.
