A man facing a list of charges stemming from an alleged fake handgun incident in Swift Current during October received bail earlier today.

Daniel Koldingnes was released on conditions including house arrest (24-hour curfew), to use an electronic monitoring unit, and other unspecified details.

The Leader resident is alleged to have entered a business on North Service Road around 2 a.m. on October 7 with a handgun.

He was arrested later that morning by the Swift Current City RCMP on 3rd Avenue Northeast after leading them on a brief chase on foot that included an attempt to steal a vehicle.

Koldingnes is facing 11 charges in total including two counts of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm, break and enter, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
