Bella Brave is not just a name heard often in Swift Current, but a role model known worldwide. 

One of the many friends Bella made throughout her life is Halsey, who reached out to her's mother years ago on one of their social media platforms.

Ryan Reynolds stopped into SickKids in September of last year to film a commercial, and asked if he could visit Bella. She was recovering from her bowel transplant but welcomed the A-list actor's visit with her usual charm and humour. 

This evening he also took to Instagram to share a few words on his story:

"Bella was so brave and charming," he wrote. "I loved meeting her and I'm so deeply sad to hear this news. She had a razor sharp wit and took zero **** from anyone. Particularly me. Deepest condolences to her family and the staff at SickKids who cared for her in every way possible."
