More than 60 awards and scholarships were handed out to grade twelve students at the Swift Current Comp's 2026 Proficiency Awards Night on Monday evening.
Several students even received multiple awards, including Hudson Coates, Dane Block, Daisy Dyck, Hannah Riego, Lauren Hanson, Reese Holderbein, and Tate Unger.

Kelsey Tsougrianis, principal at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School, said that the evening was about acknowledging the perseverance, commitment, and determination of the students.
"The word proficiency refers to a high level of skill and competence, and while tonight celebrates that achievement, it also reminds us that learning and growing truly never stop," she said. "The habits and work ethic that have led to success today will continue to open doors and create opportunities in the future."
