Swift Current City RCMP is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspicious person. 

Earlier this week on Thursday at 10:35 a.m. a man driving a grey SUV (possibly a Ford Explorer) stopped in an alley behind a residence where a young child was playing in the fenced yard. 

The man got out of the vehicle and approached the child but remained on the outside of the fence. The child's parent was in the yard and heard the man ask the child if they wanted to "go get ice cream". 

The parent took the child inside and called the police. The man drove away and has not been located by police. 

The man is described as being 50 to 60 years old, having a darker complexion, dark hair, approximately 5'10" in height, and being overweight.
