The Salvation Army is hosting their 3rd annual Toy Run in Swift Current to make a difference in the community’s youth.

Motorcyclists will band together for a cruise from the Gull Lake Curling Club at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow morning, making some noise through downtown Swift Current to let folks know it’s time to come out and donate.

Ed Ewart, an organizer for the event, said the ride comes to a stop at Standard Nissan, where residents can expect a barbecue, raffle table, and the chance to drop off donations.

“Any donations—monetary, un-wrapped kids' toys,” he said. “There will be donation bins on location.”

Ewart added that folks who can’t make the event can also contact himself at (306) 741-4958 or Lori at (306) 741-0386 to arrange for the pickup of new toys.

“That’s our goal,” Ewart said. “It’s more to the children to make smiles at Christmas time or whenever the toys are handed out to them.”
