This morning the Swift Current Ag & Ex announced their plans for the 83rd annual Frontier days with this years theme being "Together the spirit lives on"

Frontier days week will take place from June 28th through to July 4th and will include a variety of both live and online events.

The live events will kick off on June 30th with the WW Smith Drive-Thru Burrito Breakfast and other live events include the Sask Tel Kiddies Day Parade, Frontier Days Regional 4-H Livestock Show & Steer Sale, Frontier Days Living Sky Fireworks Show Swift Current Stock Car Association, Spirit Of The West Parade Tour and the Taste of the Fair week. 

Tracey Stevenson from the Swift Current Ag & Ex provides details on the virtual events this year.

"It's going to include some contests, competitions and some entertainment. We still want to engage, the community to have fun, be creative, and have the community participate from home in a safe fashion. This year the categories to enter will be a pet costume, crochet, and knitting, quilting, frontier fest, baking, photography, and were going to do a car show as well as gardening."

This year's program will also include some events taking place outside of the initial week as Chris Martens from the Swift Current Ag & Ex board explains.

"Included in our Frontier Day's events The New Frontier Horse Show will be taking place July 9th, 10th & 11th and to kind of close out this different Frontier Day's we are very excited to bring The New Frontier Canadian Cowboys Association Rodeo July 23rd, 24th & 25th."
