The Shaunavon Arts Council is wrapping up their 40th anniversary season tonight in Shaunavon with the final performance in their Stars for Saskatchewan Concert Series.

"Jake's Gift" is a surprisingly funny drama that tells the story of a Canadian World War 2 veteran's reluctant return to Normandy France for the 60th anniversary of D Day.

Since 2007, Juno Productions has toured this multi-award winning play to over 200 communities across Canada.

"Jake's Gift" goes this evening at Center Street United Church in Shaunavon starting at seven thirty.

Linda Wanner with the Shaunavon Arts Council says the upcoming season is on it's way. "We do have our line up selected for next year. We're looking forward to starting that. And there's gonna be a couple surprises. We're gonna try to change things up a little bit."

The new season will begin this Fall.
