The heavy rain won't stop the Long Day's Night Music Festival, which begins tonight and goes until Saturday.

It will feature four bands performing under the big-top tent at Marston Street and 11th Ave SW in Swift Current.  Tonight will feature The Mudmen , tomorrow night will be the Ne'er Do Wells and Soulja Fyah , and on Saturday is the group Santa Lucia .

Due to the rain, event organizer Shann Gowan would like people to not park on the hill as it will be very muddy.  She advises that there will be a Tel-a-bus shuttle taking people from the Fairview Arenas parking lot to the show site.  She adds, once they get up to the field, there will be heaters inside the tent so everyone will be warm and dry.

Tickets are still available from Pharmasave or the Art Gallery of Swift Current.  They are $25 for a day, or $60 for a festival pass.  For more information on the event, visit their website.
