It was a strong turnout for the Swift Current Drag Racing Association's first weekend of the season.

189 cars were on hand to battle it out between the two days, with the majority on Saturday at 112.

Isaac Stettner from out of Regina took the prize in the Sportsman category, followed by Jarrod Bauer out of Moose Jaw coming in as the runner-up.

In the Super Pro, local product Cory Schultz came in second behind Medicine Hat's Brian Nagel.

Justin Koop of Swift Current took the Buy Back category while Rayce Schultz took the Jr. Dragster with Kindi Opsal of Maple Creek coming in runner up.

And in Jr. Street, it was a bunch of Munch, as Paige and Luke Munch took first and second respectively.

77 cars took in the event on Sunday.

Ron Frayn of Weyburn took home the Sportsman prize against Keith Andres of Herbert.

Everything was coming up Randy in the Pro event, with Randy Taylor of Gull Lake and Randy Schlamp of Swift Current taking the top prize and runner up respectively.

Prelate driver Arnie Dillman took the Super Pro, while Kindi Opsal of Maple Creek bettered her Saturday finish, taking Sunday's Jr. Dragster crown.
