Five SWAC Senior Volleyball teams have secured spots in their respective SHSAA Provincial Championships after a successful weekend of Regionals.

The Swift Current Comp Senior Colts earned the second and final spot in provincials out of their 5A Boys Regional in Yorkton.

The Colts earned wins against Estevan, Weyburn, and Yorkton, but a loss to Balgonie Greenall handed Swift Current second place.

They head to Regina Winston Knoll for Provincials this Friday and Saturday.

The Swift Current Comp Senior Ardens finished second as well at their 5A Girls Regional in Estevan.

In a bit of a case of deja vu, the Ardens also defeated Estevan, Weyburn, and Yorkton. They too lost to Balgonie Greenall for second place.

The Ardens are now on the road in Weyburn Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, with three spots at provincials up for grabs, three SWAC 1A Girls teams advanced out of Regionals in Rouleau.

Fox Valley earned the Regional win, losing just one set all weekend. Vanguard finished as the runner-up, falling to Fox Valley in the final. The third-and-final spot was clinched by Leader, who topped Rouleau in straight-sets.

1A Girls provincials are now in Muenster this coming weekend.
