A Swift Current man is $100,000 richer after cashing in his winning Western Max ticket recently.

Ivo Radevski bought the winning ticket on June 30 before heading off on vacation. The physician didn't check the August 16 winning ticket until two months later and was shocked at the windfall.

"When we came back, it was a pleasant surprise," he said Wednesday morning. "I checked it with my app.

"I was quite ecstatic initially, there was a few moments of disbelief. I checked the ticket probably four or five times to make sure the app didn't make a mistake."

The Chief of Staff, for the Southwest Area at Saskatchewan Health Authority, said he doesn't have any flashy purchases lined up for the influx of cash.

"A little bit of extra money always comes in handy," he said." I think it will beef up our retirement fund."

The Mobil gas station at 1501 North Service Road East in Swift Current sold Radevski the lucrative ticket.
