The four-day lineup for Swift Current's Long Day's Night Music Festival was released earlier this week and has a little bit of hometown flair to it.

Opening up the show on June 21 will be recent Juno winners The Dead South featuring Swift Current's own Eliza Doyle.

"It's really exciting to have The Dead South coming," Swift Current's new Director of Cultural Festival Sheri Florizone said. "With Eliza Doyle hailing here from Swift Current, it's going to be a chance for her to come home and celebrate that recent Junos win with the hometown crowd."

The next night the local band The Moon Runners will be the opening act followed by The Harpoonist and the Ax Murderer.

"They just kill it on stage, there are so fantastic," Florizone said of The Harpoonist and the Ax Murderer.

The Saturday night will feature a Juno award nominee in Five Alarm Funk and another Juno nominee will finish off the festival Sunday as Terra Lightfoot hits the stage.

"Terra was recently also nominated for a Juno award in the same category Michael Bublé," Florizone said. "Her concert is going to be the perfect ending to our festival weekend."
