In the March 1 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 154 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 154 cases, there are 12 in the Far North West zone, 3 in the Far North Central zone, 5 in the Far North East zone, 14 in the North West zone, 10 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 33 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 14 in the Central East zone, 53 in the Regina zone, and 2 in the South East zone.

There are 5 new cases with pending residence information.

Two cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North Central zone.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 28,801, of which 1,551 are considered active.

There are currently 4 active cases in the South West zone. Two of those cases are in the South West subzone 1 and two of the cases are in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 143 (11.6 new cases per 100,000 population).

There are 146 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 26,865.

No additional Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. That leaves the provincial total number of deaths related to COVID-19 at 385.

There are 151 people in hospital. One hundred and thirty people are receiving inpatient care - 4 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North East zone, 12 in the North West zone, 14 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 49 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 7 in the Central East zone, 33 in the Regina zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and 4 in the South East zone.

There are 21 people in intensive care - 1 in the North West zone, 11 in the Saskatoon zone and 9 in the Regina zone.

To date, 578,741 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 1,741 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 386 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 79,289.
