Municipal elections happening around the province yesterday.

Just over 1,400 votes separated Sandy Larson and Don Robinson for Mayor in Swift Current. Larson had 59% of the votes, Robinson had 35% and Henry Banman came in third with 5% of the votes. Stacey Ellertson and Tim Bugera are two new faces on City Council. They join incumbents Gord Budd, Tim Keene, Jerrod Schafer and John Wall.

In Shaunavon, it was incumbent Sharon Dickie with 544 votes, over Harvey Schermerhorn with 232. Shaunavon’s new town council includes: Janelle Wickstrom, Richard Whyte, Alen Ruetz, Pat Billard, Mark Benesh and Mike Elmgren.

In Eastend, incumbent Terry Haggart beat out Scott Morvik 163 to 128.
