In the November 4 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 37 new cases of the virus in the province.

The Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory experienced technical difficulties yesterday with the validation of COVID-19 tests, resulting in lower than expected case numbers reported today. It is anticipated that any delay reporting will be reflected in tomorrow's COVID-19 case update.

Of the 37 new cases reported today, there is 1 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 13 in the Saskatoon zone, 6 in the Central East zone, and 14 in the Regina zone.

One case reported today has pending residence locations. One case with pending residence location reported November 2 has been assigned to the North Central zone, Two cases with pending residence locations reported November 1 were determined to be out of province residents and removed from provincial counts.

That brings to provincial total number of cases of COVID-19 to 3,408, of which 799 are considered active.

There are 2 active case reported in the South West zone.

There have been 78 more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 2,584.

There are currently 26 people in hospital. Twenty-two people are receiving inpatient care - 2 in the North West zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 10 in the Saskatoon zone, and 5 in the Regina zone. There are 4 people in intensive care - 2 in the North Central zone, 1 in Saskatoon, and 1 in Regina.

There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 in the province.

To date, there has been 271,198 COVID-19 tests performed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 1,101 COVID-19 tests done.
