Park reservation begin opening in Saskatchewan
Campers planning a summer trip to Saskatchewan’s provincial parks will soon be able to reserve campsites, including several popular destinations in the province’s southwest. Reservations for seasonal campsites open April 13, while bookings for nightly campsites, Camp-Easy yurts, group campsites, day-use facilities and swimming lessons will be released between April 14 and 17. “Our parks provide places to explore, unwind and create lifelong memories,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Alana Ross said. “As another summer approaches, we look forward to welcoming visitors back to experience unique trails, family programming, exciting events and nights around the campfire.” Southwest parks included in booking schedule Several parks in southwest Saskatchewan are part of the staggered reservation launch. Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, located along Lake Diefenbaker northwest of Swift Current, opens bookings April 14 alongside parks including Candle Lake and Lac La Ronge. Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, a major tourism destination in the southwest near the Alberta border, opens reservations April 16 along with parks such as Crooked Lake and Greenwater Lake. Reservations open at 7 a.m. CST on each release day through the Sask Parks online reservation system. The discount applies to daily, weekly and annual entry permits but must be applied in person at park gates when the permit placard is presented. Entry permits can be purchased online ahead of time or at park gates upon arrival, with full pricing available through the Sask Parks reservation website. The provincial park reservation system opens annually ahead of the summer season to allow visitors to plan camping trips and outdoor activities across Saskatchewan’s park network.
