Tyler Steenbergen scored twice as the Swift Current Broncos came from behind to beat Saskatoon 5-3.

Aleksi Heponiemi scored once and had two assists, while Lane Pederson added a goal and an assist in the win.

Braylon Shmyr scored twice in the first period as the Blades took advantage of four power plays to take an early lead.

Heponiemi responded midway through the second period when he re-directed in an Artyom Minulin pass for his 27th goal fo the season.

He he then set Steenbergen up on a late second period power play to tie the game as Heponiemi hit the 80 point mark in his rookie season.

Conner Chaulk scored his 8th of the season early in the third period as Arthur Miller went coast-to-coast before setting Chaulk up.

Swift Current extended their lead on Steenbergen's second of the night and 49th of the season as he converted a Ryley Lindgren feed by snapping a puck under Blades goaltender Brock Hamm.

Steenbergen tied Tyler Wong for most goals in the WHL. He leads the league with 12 game winning goals.

Evan Fiala cut Swift Current's lead back to 4-3 by driving the net from the corner and putting home his own rebound.

A Pederson power play goal with a little over five minutes to play restored the Broncos' two-goal lead. He has goals in three straight games and is up to 23 on the season. Swift Current scored on three of their four third period shots.

Taz Burman made 33 saves on the night to earn the win for the Broncos, while Hamm stopped 23 of 28 Broncos shots.

The Broncos went 2 for 4 on the power play, while holding Saskatoon to 1 for 4.

The win clinched third place for Swift Current in the WHL East Division standings. The Broncos are eight points back of Moose Jaw for second place with only five games left in the regular season.

Saskatoon is only a point ahead of Calgary for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
