Rock Solid Refuge held their Second Annual Shaunavon Banquet and Auction Fundraiser on Friday evening at The Bridge Alliance Church in Shaunavon.

Rock Solid Refuge Executive Director, Dallas Block, said the event raises money and awareness for Rock Solid Refuge and they had a good crowd in attendance. "We've got a pretty good number of tickets that did get sold, and people coming, so we're excited for that. The support of this southwest corner has just really been tremendous."

The evening included a supper, live and silent auctions, student testimonials and Guest Speaker, Cindy Danis, who is the grandmother and guardian of one of the students at Rock Solid.

Keynote Speaker was Doctor Charles Redwine. He said, "This is my fourth time coming. I've come for Family Camp to be with the parents and with the kids, and my heart is with the parents just as much as with the kids, cause the parents have struggled so hard and want to save these children and give them another chance. And when they find a place like Rock Solid Refuge, all of a sudden they feel hope again."

Guest Speaker, Cindy Danis, agrees. She said, "It's just been an amazing time. It's been hard, but its been worthwhile."

Total dollars raised this year was $13,270.
