The Swift Current Branch Library has hit the century mark in years, and at last night's council meeting next week was deemed Swift Current Library Week.
There'll be a flag raising Monday at Market Square, and a barbecue Wednesday at the library as part of the festivities, and a lunch and learn the following Wednesday, May 9.
The library opened in May of 1918 at the bottom of City Hall, but burned down two and a half years later.
