The Canadian Tourism Awards are presented annually by TIAC and The Toronto Star to recognize success, leadership, and innovation in Canada's Tourism Industry, and to reward those people, places, organizations, and events that have gone above and beyond to offer travelers superior tourism experiences in Canada.

Saskatchewan will be well-represented at the 2019 Canadian Tourism Awards.

There are five finalists from Saskatchewan, including The Harvest Eatery in Shaunavon. 

The Harvest Eatery,along with PEI Fall Flavors Festival, and Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario are the three finalists in the Restaurants Canada and Diversey Culinary Tourism Award category.

Kristy Thienes, along with her husband Garrett are the owners of The Harvest Eatery. Kristy said, "We are so honored to be recognized on a national level as a finalist for The Canadian Tourism Awards. We've been incredibly fortunate to have some much love and support from our community and southwest Saskatchewan and beyond."

The Awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner in Ottawa on November 20.
