The Swift Current 57's will have to wait yet another week to complete their home opener as their doubleheader against the Weyburn Beavers was postponed due to wet conditions at Mitchell Field.

The doubleheader has been rescheduled to June 13 and will see the completion of the suspended May 26 game to nine innings starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by a seven-inning game.

The 57's are off until Thursday when they visit the Medicine Hat Mavericks and then host the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a slugfest in Brooks, Alberta, on Tuesday as windy conditions and a hitter-friendly ballpark aided the Lethbridge Bulls to a 31-26 win over the host Bombers. Elks Field in Brooks is the smallest in the WCBL, measuring at 325 ft. dead centre and 310 ft. down the lines, and winds were gusting to 70 km/h. The teams combined for 49 hits and 14 home runs, with Kelton Phillips homering three times for the Bombers.

Other WCBL action on Tuesday had the Moose Jaw Miller Express edging the Saskatoon Berries 5-4 and the Okotoks Dawgs routed the Edmonton Prospects 9-1.

Mountcastle homers twice as Orioles rout Jays

Ryan Mountcastle hit two homers and drove in five runs as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Tuesday at Rogers Centre. Connor Norby also hit a two-run shot in the eighth inning to help the Orioles hand the Jays their third loss in the last four games.

The four-game series continues tonight with Jose Berrios starting for the Jays.
