The Swift Current 57's had their home opener against the Weyburn Beavers postponed after rain moved in late Sunday afternoon. No make-up date for the game has been announced.

The 57's are off until Wednesday when they host the Fort McMurray Giants.

In minor ball, the 18U AAA 57’s split a doubleheader with the Southeast Twins on Saturday, losing 13-12 and winning 9-5, while the 15U AAA 57’s swept a doubleheader with the Southeast A’s with 12-6 and 13-3 victories. The 13U AAA 57’s split a doubleheader with the Yorkton Cardinals with a 12-3 win and 10-9 loss on Saturday, and then swept the White Butte Broncos with 8-4 and 14-4 wins on Sunday.

Rangers get OT win to take 2-1 edge in ECF

Alex Wennberg tipped in the game-winner 5:35 into overtime to lift the New York Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Florida Panthers and a 2-1 lead in the NHL's Eastern Conference Final. Game four is on Tuesday in Sunrise.

Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers host the Dallas Stars in game three of the Western Conference Final with that series tied up at a game apiece.

At the Memorial Cup, the Moose Jaw Warriors take on the OHL champion London Knights as round-robin action continues in Saginaw, Michigan. The WHL champions opened the tournament with a 5-4 loss to the host Saginaw Spirit on Friday.

Riders wrap up pre-season with win over Elks

Brett Lauther nailed a 23-yard field goal with 23 seconds left as the Saskatchewan Roughriders edged the Edmonton Elks 28-27 at Commonwealth Stadium to wrap up an unbeaten CFL pre-season schedule. The Riders return to Edmonton to open the regular season on June 8.
